GFI Archiver is not archiving emails

Are you experiencing issues with emails not being archived? This could be indicated by emails getting stuck in the journal mailbox, or the Archive Store showing no archiving activity. If so, follow these steps to ensure your settings, access, and components are configured correctly for email archiving.

Possible Causes for Archiving Issues:

Database problems: These could include database failures, insufficient disk space, or exceeding the licensed number of users compared to enabled users.
Archiver malfunction: Rebooting might not resolve the issue if the Archiver itself has stopped archiving for specific domains.
Configuration errors: Several issues can cause this, such as incorrect settings, outdated database schema, or large emails clogging the journal mailbox.
Connectivity Issues: Problems connecting to domains can hinder archiving.
Anti-virus interference: Third-party antivirus software might accidentally block the archiving process.

In order to confirm that emails are not being archived, open GFI Archiver, navigate to Configuration > Archive Stores > click Summary of active archive store > Check Last Email Archived On.
